About the PowerZone
The PowerZone was founded in 1996 by Irene Conlan for the purpose of conducting workshops and seminars on health-related holistic oriented topics.   It evolved into a hypnotherapy center. Presently The PowerZone serves its clients with one-on-one hypnotherapy sessions and provides self-hypnosis MP3 downloads so people can work on their issues in the privacy of their own home. See the services page for more information. The PowerZone also has a spiritual outreach as The PowerZone Ministries. The PowerZone Ministries has a twofold purpose: to ordain people as non-denominational ministers and teach ministers how to do ceremonies such as weddings, funerals, memorials and baby blessings and Irene is available to officiate at weddings and other ceremonies. 

About Irene Conlan
Irene is an R.N. with a masters degree in nursing from The Catholic University of America,  a Ph.D. in Metaphysics from the College of Metaphysical Studies and is a Certified Hypnotherapist and Past Life Regression Therapist. She worked in hospital nursing at every level. Irene  taught in the College of Nursing at Arizona State University and at Northern Arizona University.  She served as Nursing Administrator at St. Luke's Hospital and Medical Center and was later Assistant Director for the Arizona Department of Health Services responsible for Emergency Medical Services and Health Care Facilities. She founded and grew an award winning business in a non-medical industry and, after selling the company, studied hypnosis and hypnotherapy. After working in a hypnosis clinic for a year, she started her own hypnotherapy practice in Scottsdale, AZ. She is a member of the Arizona Society for Professional Hypnosis and of the National Guild of Hypnotists.

Irene is an accomplished speaker and an ordained non-denominational minister. As a minister she designed and operates a program to prepare and ordain ministers, teach ministers how to perform ceremonies and she officiates at weddings in the greater Phoenix metropolitan area. She was married to former Congressman John B. Conlan and has two sons, Christopher and Kevin, and three grandsons Kyle, Aaron and Jack who are the delight of her life. Irene believes she has a life filled with everything she loves: serving others through hypnotherapy and her ministry and delighting in her children and grandchildren.
